Chevron B7 For Sale

The first ever Chevron single seater

£POA

Listed November 2025

At the behest of Rodney Bloor [Sports Motors Manchester] during the 1967 F3 season, Derek Bennett quickly designed and built the Chevron B7 for Peter Gethin to drive at the end of the 1967 season.

It was instantly competitive, but didn't actually win a race, due to a minor crash, engine problem and penalty ! It was shipped to USA at the end of 1967 fitted with an SCA engine.

We recovered it from Califiornia in 2022, where a gentleman had been slowly starting to restore it - sadly he died, and we were able to purchase it.

After a painstaking, chassis up restoration it is ready to go racing, and we are reluctantly now offering it for sale.

It has a new 10 year FIA HTP, was inspected by Tim Colman of Chevron cars and was then issued with a Chevron Certificate of Originality. It has been driven and shaken down by Samuel Harrison.

With the Derek Bell Cup for Historic F3 cars taking place at Goodwood Members Meeting next April, and a great Championship Calendar planned for HF3 in 2026, this is the ideal car to consider and it can be viewed at our Silverstone premises by appointment.
