Fully rebuilt ex Carlos Gaspar “Racing For Portugal” team car.

1967 Brabham BT21. This Formula 3 car, chassis number 6, was sold new to Portuguese racer Carlos Gaspar who enjoyed success in European races. A highlight was winning the support race at the 1968 Spanish Grand Prix at Jarama. Fast forward a few years and the Brabham found its way to Crosthwaite and Gardiner in the mid 1970’s. Laying dormant for nearly 40 years, the car was rebuilt and fitted with a 1,000cc Ford MAE and entered in the 2019 Goodwood Members’ Meeting, where Simon Diffey qualified in the top ten. Presented in its original “Racing for Portugal” colour scheme, BT21-6 has undergone a full chassis rebuild and is fitted with a freshly rebuilt engine, new Sam Wilson cylinder head and a correct Hewland gearbox.
