Nigel Bancroft wins the Snetterton HF3 Race
Nigel Bancroft in the Chevron B17 took a comfortable win after an early race challenge from Stuart Tizzard in his B15C Chevron. Stuart who is going quicker every time he come out in the Chevron had managed to get alongside the Chevron before Bancroft got his head down and pulled clear. Tim Kary took a slightly lonely third whilst Peter Thompson finished fourth ahead of the battle between Chapman, Seaman and Messer until Seaman retired when both throttle return springs failed.
Dean Forward made a good start and was running third until the gear lever jammed the box in second gear and he had to retire. Leif Bosson also retired when the engine apparently ingested a stone causing sounds of mechanical distress.
